QuixiCloud started in Bengaluru, India — built by a small team that had grown tired of paying foreign-currency cloud bills for basic storage. We watched individuals and small businesses get locked into expensive subscription tiers just to keep photos, documents, and business data backed up.
Rather than reselling space from the same expensive underlying providers, we chose to build and operate our own storage infrastructure — dedicated servers, ZFS file systems, and HBA controllers — from the ground up. This removed the brand markup entirely and let us focus on what actually matters: reliability, privacy, and price per terabyte.
We launched our Android app first, because automatic phone backup is the single most important cloud storage task for most people. Windows desktop sync followed. Our growing customer base spans India and international markets, with iOS and macOS apps in active development.
